No Pasarán — “They shall not pass.” The phrase dates back to the Spanish Civil War, first shouted by Republican forces standing their ground against Franco’s fascist troops in 1936. Nearly a century later, it’s still the sharpest three words in the anti-fascist vocabulary, and it hasn’t lost an inch of its bite.
